They are fun stores, and you can get some good items, and fun gifts, for reasonable prices. As a 'fuzzy throw" fan, theirs are cute, wash well, and only cost $5.

@BostonAC : Yes. It was during that time. It was a nice store and had lots of businessâ€¦just like Palais Royal and Tuesday Morning.

SteveT : We just saw that sign when we went to Aldi's! That may impact Dollar Tree. I am not happy with the quality of stores coming to the front of Kingwood. I miss Palais Royal and Steinmart.

@Kittle : I loved Stein Mart but I could never find anything at Palais Royal. I wish they were both still here.

goldie : Kind of, but with a much less depressing vibe. They usually have lots of fun stuff for kids (toys, games, art supplies) that are nicer than what you find at the dollar store. The stores are also better kept.

While I think most of us like saving money, I think 2 discount stores in the same center is a bit much.

I've never been in a Five Below. Is it similar to a dollar tree store?

@goldie : I have only been in one five below. It looked like a pigsty. It was a lot smaller than the Tuesday Morning location so maybe that is why it was so awful. Maybe a bigger location will help it to be more organized. I hate shopping where the stuff is unorganized and all over the place including the floor.
