Discussion Summary:
The original poster shared an image of their first bills from NORTHBELT UD and joked about taking donations. The bills were only partials but gave an idea of what to expect.
@Brat : You're in a good place. You're cooking skills will enable you be flexible financially when bills fluctuate. Some folks don't cook and spend $1500 a month doing carry out....it's nuts !
@billcherie2 : I am amazed at how much people eat out. The other thing that amazes me is that they use door dash because they cannot be bothered with going to pick it up. That boggles my mind.
@billcherie2 : I eat out sometimes. I will admit that. But to eat out every meal, is boggling my mind. Not just the money it costs, but the time it takes. For instance when I worked I always took my lunch to work.
@Donnawisdom : I enjoy going out to early dinner or lunch on occasion, I could NOT eat out everyday or as often as many do. I enjoy watching Hubby cook, I prep. I like to ensure quality control. 4951

@Donnawisdom : We rarely eat out and when we do it's the lunch special. For DH the trifecta would be eating out on a lunch special with a coupon and a gift card. That makes him one happy man! 4951

I eat out every meal and I wouldn't want it any other way. I don't mind grilling but other than that I have better thing to do rather than to stand over a hot stove and have to clean up afterwards. 4951

I eat out occasionally. My knees hurt too much to stand and cook a lot. I try to do it in sections. I also try to coupon or GC my meals out! So much easier. 4951
