My first 25k week.

Steps, not dollars. Lol
 
This is my biggest week yet. I averaged over 25k steps in the last 7 days for a total of 180,922 steps (or approximately 90.46 Miles)
I swear to god this walking **** is the fountain of youth.
The more I do it the better I feel in both mind and body.

@ZMAN : I did over 25k steps at Disney world a few times. At the end of the day I was telling myself just one foot in front of the other to make it to the car. That was in Oct. 2019.

@ZMAN : My parents are 83/84 and they walk 3 to 6 miles every day. It's been that way for as long as I can remember. They are in great shape physically and mentally for that age!

@Gingersnap : Ive been walking about 2-2.5 hours every day. I do about 70% of it in the morning and the rest in the evening.

@Gingersnap : I definitely worked my way up to this amount slowly over time. I don't think I could of done this many steps in a week 3 months ago when I started.

@ZMAN : That's great. I'm trying to work on 8 to 10 thousand a day. I do one or two classes a day at the y but they don't always add up to a lot of steps.
I just read Take Control of Your Heart Disease Risk by John Whyte
He talked about how important it was to walk at least 30 minutes a day no matter what, no excuses. The one I remember is even if there's a tornado coming. I remember that one because I read it on the day we had warnings. 😳

@Jonn : Who knows. If I continue to progress like I have been, I certainly wouldn't rule out a Marathon in my future.
I haven't really messed with running or jogging yet, but I have noticed that my walking is getting significantly more efficient (lower heart rate and less effort) as I get lighter and stronger.

@Gingersnap : Yep, I haven't missed a day in 3 months. I started with a 30 minute walks and have worked my way up to being able to do an hour and a half at about a 15:40 per mile pace.
I used to be on 3 blood pressure meds, now Im on 1. Total weight loss so far is 28lbs.

@ZMAN : That's jogging. 😎Walking is 18 to 20 per mile pace. I got off a couple of my blood pressure meds a few years ago. I just have 1 now and one temp if it goes up. Usually from eating out. I've lost 34 since last September but 10 of that was some I had gained back since my heart surgery.
