I called at 12:30 to ask if they had food there. Yes they had everything. Drove over and by the time they took my order they had sold out of several things. I loved the food we purchased. It is not inexpensive, but I think it is worth the price. We will go back there again, hopefully a little earlier 😂

We had a good experience there too. Good craft bbq is certainly not cheap, but it's nice to have the option here.

@Donnawisdom : I had lunch there at 3 pm today...they had sold out of pulled pork and
the turkey (which I adore), green beans and slaw...but still had all the other meats. I had the brisket tacos and the garlicky parmesan cauliflower and couldn't be happier!

Agree that it's not inexpensive but it's also not as expensive as some barbecue joints I've been to that don't even offer combo plates and briskets 30-31 bucks a pound...plus the quality....YUM.

Hope you get what you want next time!

Just saw this on FB, live music and increased volume for food tomorrow night (I know they ran out early their first Saturday open). Kingwood is HUNGRY for good bbq! I am going with a girlfriend....Dino ribs...Prime Rib. Difficult decisions. But BYOB....nice!

@Jellybeaner : Omg....it's like crack....and I have never tasted anything like their spoonbread anywhere else.
It was like $14.50 ....heck you'll spend nearly that at a fast food joint these days.
But $20-$30 a plate is normal for a good bbq place, so I got out cheap.

@Jonn : I liked the pork ribs a bunch and will get that again. And I really liked the potato salad, in fact I bought a quart to bring home. We will definitely go again,

@teatime : It is craft bbq and it shows in the taste. It was worth the cost. They were a little slow taking orders, but maybe they are just still in start up.

A couple weeks ago I stopped in post-allergist (one building over!) shortly before closing to see if they had anything left and got a fantastic pulled rib meat quesadilla. $12 and had enough left over for a next day snack even after letting a couple people have a taste. It was *really* good. And faster than standing in line at the old truck!

So nice to have so much barbecue within a half hour or so. (FireCraft and Rusty Buckle locally, and 99 puts Corkscrew and Tejas in relatively easy reach.)

@jj1 : Glad you found something you liked. They can definitely run out fast. Butler wants to try the smoked salmon plate next. It had run out when we were there at 1.
