Hog meat is delicious...if cooked right. They.are pretty bad behind my house off of Hueni Rd. We had none last year and they are in my backyard this year. Last time I spoke with a game warden, they stated hogs were like 'roaches' to them and didnt care if someone killed one. That was a few years ago. I wouldnt doubt if they still felt that way. 4951

There are lots of hogs behind the River Bend neighborhood..it's kind of cute seeing the little babies run behind the mama hogs hehe. I'm surprised there are so many just hanging out in the wide open back there. 4951

Cute now but a litter from one sow can be extrapolated into 100 new hogs in less than a year. The reproduce faster than rabbits. I would rather have rabbits. 4951

Can you take a picture next time and post so I can see; this may be another animal I'm afraid of since it's wild? Thanks 4951

@Ashley28: there is really nothing cute about them. They stink and they are mean.....they are a menace and ravage everything they touch. They are more destructive that roaches and rodents.

When I take the boat out in LH there are several island areas that have so many hogs. Tracks everywhere. I continue to wonder how they got way out there

Are the hogs in these photos recent and are they in the Royal Shores subdivision? The hogs on the islands likely swim back and forth from the islands. 4951

@bind_MY_laces: They still feel the same way towards them. The lease I go to in Hill Country actually gives bounties on them and the more you kill the more money they take off from your dues.

@DTrafton: I was going to say the same thing about swimming because I've seen them do it on WLH down by Summerwood in the past.  They can be huge also.  The one time one had gotten hit by a car on WLH and they pulled it to the center median with a rope and my grandmother made me go back so she could look again because she thought it was a bear.

I can hear them and when we went out on the Deerwood Golf Course half hour before dark, came across 5 running right in front of us. I live in Fosters Mill. If you look at Golden Pond in the estate part, you will see their damage looking for Grubbs. But if the grass is treated so there are no Grubbs, then they won't dig there. I can also hear gun shots late at night and figure they shot a hog that was captured. 4951
