Wild hog traps start proving successful! From Royal Shores Village Website:Last night, the second trap that was installed yesterday in the Regal Point section of Royal Shores caught two (2) hogs on it’s first night operation on the west side of Royal Shores Drive. There was one large boar and one large sow trapped in the early morning hours.IMPORTANT: THE TRAPS ARE CLEARLY MARKED WITH WARNING SIGNS. HOGS ARE UNPREDICITABLE, WILD, POWERFUL ANIMALS. PLEASE DO NOT APPROACH THE TRAPS, YOU COULD BE INJURED…THAT IS WHY WE HIRED INSURED PROFESSIONALS. 4951

Is there a plan to use them? Hogs for a Cause is an organization specifically benefitting local
communities by donating thousands of pounds of wild boar. Their ground
crew teams up with aerial hunting companies to pick up downed boars and
take them to their processing unit, where they dress the animals and get
them ready for donations to local non-profits and families who need
meat. But just how safe are these pigs to eat? "They're definitely
safe," Hogs for a Cause founder Dave Haehn said. "In addition to that,
this is the freshest, best tasting hog you're going to find anywhere." 4951

No doubt Trump would have a plan for this problem. 4951

They can send the hogs to my freezer and I will let BBQ roast them for me. 4951

Glad to hear someone is consuming it. If the problem gets out of control though might want to have a back up plan.  4951

@beastmode:  I've been looking into those places that let you shoot wild hogs from helicopters.  They usually have a ground crew that follows and picks up the dead hogs and they donate them to local non-profits as you mention.  Those hunts are pretty expensive but it looks like a fun time!

@QueenB:
By the map it is down by the lake off High Valley Drive. Looks like it is sort of between Kings Point and Foster's Mill but closer to the lake? 4951
