>> Hog meat is delicious...if cooked right. They.are pretty bad behind my house off of Hueni Rd. We had none last year and they are in my backyard this year. Last time I spoke with a game warden, they stated hogs were like 'roaches' to them and didnt care if someone killed one. That was a few years ago. I wouldnt doubt if they still felt that way.

@bind_MY_laces: They still feel the same way towards them. The lease I go to in Hill Country actually gives bounties on them and the more you kill the more money they take off from your dues.
Sounds like a good time. I almost hit 2 on Mills Branch a few nights ago. My hubby wanted to go back and shoot them. hah It was tempting.

These people catching the hogs are bogus anytime your trapping hogs and only snagging one or two your hurting the situation. You are actively wising the ones who get away up to methods of trapping making them even harder to take live. This is a joke I would do this for free just because I enjoy it and I live in kingwood 4951

I'm guessing they caught most of them bc I haven't see them in the back of Riverbend in a long time. Didn't see any today either. 4951

@Ashley28:  They are still there.  Once hogs start being hunted or just jacked with in general during daylight hours they will start moving almost exclusively at night and will learn very quickly how to avoid human contact.  Hogs are much smarter than deer, which makes it that much more difficult to control them.

@TexasTideFan:

You are absolutely correct. I've hunted then in Missouri, Arkansas and Croatia and they learn quickly how to hide in daylight hours and eat at night. They even avoid the best of hunters and a person really has to be patient when hunting them at night...even if you bait them. There are smart.
