@cbear: it was a popcorn bowl at our house. We puked in the toilet.

90% of the time it was the toilet. But there was a bathroom trash can with a garbage bag if we didn't.

When DD was recovering from some surgery we were introduced to the round barf bags at the hospital. We bought a box of them and keep them in the closet and our cars. For traveling they're great for watering the dogs and emergency bathroom breaks when there's no close exit

@cbear: I don't remember us having a puke bucket! You either ran to the bathroom or use the trash can!

The meat defroster has not survived, but... my mother does still have the yellow salad dressing shaker bottle

@Jellybeaner : The home that I grew up in, my bedroom was pretty far from the bathroom so my mom left the yellow puke bucket in my bedroom when I was sick.

@mutton : In the house that I grew up in, my bathroom was pretty far from my bedroom so my mom always brought the bucket when I was sick in case I couldn't make it to the bathroom.

I had a Tupperware party in my early 20s and received that as my hostess gift. My Mom snitched it to put pasta salad in to take to family gatherings and I didn't get it back until she died! I use it for the same thing.
My family used a basin or waste basket for puke!

@luannski: 5gal bucket here. Less spillage.

@cbear : And it's a whole grain. It's just hard to limit to 2 cup servings and watching the sodium and fat. I make it in the microwave with no fat. Spray canola flavored butter and very little salt for me. ðŸ˜‹
