Went with Destroy to lunch yesterday in The Heights, and we decided to stop by El Bolillo on Airline (2517 Airline Drive). I lived in Central America for 5 years, have been a "panito" (small bread) fan for Decades, and this place is Hands Down, the Best. Worth the short drive. We Filled a tray (see photos; she was too quick in bagging, and you see only Half of what we got, on the tray) Cost: $6.50. No Way..and quality is amazing! If you have little ones, they have some cute Halloween themed orange colored breads, cookies and more. I did not get a tres leches, because I did not have a way to keep it chilled for the rest of our day out, but it is Delicious, too.(there is a cold case at the end of the checkout, so don't miss shopping there..flan and more)
We got: apple empanadas, croissants that are lightly sugared all over, pig cookie, which is gingerbread, Pan Columbiano, and conchas (come in 3 colors, I like the white topped one). They are also constantly making fresh tortillas.
Go..Andele..you'll love it! 4951
