It wouldn't let me download, as I do not do FB from my laptop, so not signed in. But, thanks for posting. I know it is high water, there. Fox is showing people moving out of those areas. There were a lot of people at th WalMarts; both in Porter and New Caney. Maybe stocking up for the days they may not be able to leave home. if in the flood range?

So much sand has been deposited on the other side of the river bank, that the water flow has been pushed to our side. Where did this sand come from? How do we get this area to flow like it did in the past? Has this area been dredged and reviewed?

They dredged it for years and made a million and put it on the bank where it washes back in again and again. Money making never ending project.

Take Kingwood Drive East all the way past Riverwood Middle and you dead end into it.

Interestingâ€¦ would you happen to know who is in charge of the dredging for this part of the river? I have never seen any barges, and I would like to write a few letters (with pictures included) describing how that part of the river has changed over the 30 + years that I have lived here. The sand is deposited is incredible! Thanks for the info!

Not sure but I think it's Harris County. I do think the last time they dredged they took the sand away but not sure. Someone here should know more details.
