The odds of finding a double-yolk egg in a carton is 1/1,000. In that hens producing them tend to run in flocks, the chance of finding a second one in your carton is 1/100.
Double yolk egg. How rare are they? I got one this morning. I eat a couple eggs every morning for the past few years and this is the first one I've gotten. The pic is of 2 eggs
@ZMAN : I had one a week or so ago that I'd hard boiled. Very cool.
I had one of those about a week ago..... but it had ALOT of that white stuff surrounding the yolk (not the WHITE itself but that other normally little stringy part). Wasn't sure if it was safe, but it looked... unappetizing, so it went down the drain.

@ZMAN : We used to get jumbo or jumbo plus eggs from a person who had many chickens back in Colchester, Connecticut and I would say out of them two or three out of a dozen would be double yolkers Out of two dozen here in Texas, the jumbos are the only ones we get the double Yolkers and that is about every other dozen
