Our DinDin tonight...

Was one I wasn't sure I'd get the kiddos to eat...

Chicken Parmesan over Black Bean Spaghetti (25 grams of protein)....they love traditional spaghetti or noodles in general and they do well with chicken nuggets

...

But they all surprised me and ate nearly their whole bowl!

They are all sound asleep

now...so its time to catch up on my 'commercials' as my children think all adult shows are just commercials!!!

Where did you get the black pasta? Don't tell me you made it.
Is this the way you get over the debacle?

That looks delicious girl!

Enrique wanted us to start a diet today. He said fish and veggies for a week.

So I made him blackened salmon and broccoli/cauliflower.

Think I'll make a grilled cheese later. 4951

Fresh cheese is my favorite @ExCTGuyInTX, but being a cheese head, my local hometown favorites are not within driving distance! Hehe.

No, I'm not over it....I never will be. I bleed Green and Gold....as do you!

And the spaghetti has been in my pantry for a year....I'm trying to use up stuff that needs to be eaten, but I originally got it at Sam's or Costco. I cannot recall for sure. It was delicious...tasted different but I was surprised how good it was!!! 4951

@Brat : I always feel better eating healthier....my thing is high protein, I definitely exceeded my intake for today and I'm happy about that!!! A grilled cheese does sound good though....with a side of tomato basil soup!!! 4951

Chiza : How is the black bean spaghetti? I like the idea of using that instead of traditioal noodles.

It was really good @butterflygarden, the kids actually enjoyed the noodles by themselves....they love beans though...especially black beans. If you expect a traditional noodleish flavor/texture you'll be disappointed though...but I enjoyed them.

This is the brand I have and it was very good. 4951

@Chiza : I do a Cuban rice and meat dish and think this may go great with it in the place of the rice. We all love black beans! Where did you buy it? I don't see it on the HEB app. 4951

@butterflygarden : I got it at Costco or Sam's club. I cannot recall...but I know I got it over a year ago. But it does look like, with a quick Google search you can find it at some other places.... 4951

I'm kind of religious about my 7pm bed time @gigem09...the older two usually wiggle for 30min to an hour...but tonight, they were out cold!! We did make a 1.5 hr stop at the park this afternoon! 4951
