I believe Scandinavian collect those type of plates. My mother had similar style plates and stuff

My "company" dinnerware is an English Iron Stone blue and white pattern that i've owned since the early 70s.....and over the years I've added complimentary not matching pieces to set a beautiful eclectic blue and white table for special dinners....it makes me feel so warm and comfortable and peaceful to sit down at that table with a comfort food meal specially cooked....it just makes me close my eyes, take a deep breath and smile....I love all things 'blue and white', Asian, toile, chinoiserie.....it must be my happy place - I buy whatever items I see to add to my collection whether they are expensive or inexpensive and it all just comes together.....

@magnoliamam : Sounds wonderful. I don't have "company" dinnerware. Mostly paper plates! I bet your table looks so pretty when set. I don't even remember what happened to the blue dishes.
