Christmas Cake! My sweet daughter in law made a beautiful cake for us all; it was 4 layers, 2 of Red Velvet, 2 of vanilla "wedding cake" style, which are two of our family's favorites. The icing, home made buttercream, was good enough to roll in, it was so delicious! Have you all eaten any of your holiday desserts yet? Post when you do, and pics, please!

Her cakes are amazing; she considers herself a novice, but says she learns, which each one she bakes and decorates. She is very creative, and also sews. That frosting though...was on a New level of delicious, this time!

No, it was a lighter frosting (crumb coat/whipped cream duo) between the layers, and buttercream on the outer part of the cake. It was a great idea, so the frosting didnt overwhelm the cake flavors.
