All breads have the USE BY date marked on their packaging. Don't need to remember color codes - look for the date.

At our stores up here, they tend to put the breads with the longer use by date on the bottom shelf so check the date to get the furthest out date.

@Rocklady2020 : Lol. The one I worked at was a local chain in El Paso. I started as a sacker, and we sacked the groceries in paper bags, loaded them onto a cart, pushed the cart as we followed the customer out to their vehicle, and loaded their groceries in their vehicle for them. Those days are long gone!

If the bread itself is green and spotty, then you know it was bagged last month

@djchavez0921 : And I really miss them. I loved having the groceries brought to my car and loaded up. I was a big tipper!
