@Weathergirl5 : Do you still only pay for the ones you take with you, and not charged for the ones you eat while picking? It was that way probably 20 years ago. 4951

@luannski : Lol yes I meant I wore socks with my crocs. Normally I would have worn tennis shoes with socks but from past experience it's hard to get all of those smashed blueberries out of the grooves in the bottom of your tennis shoes. 4951

@Donnawisdom : It was either $3.50 a pound or $3.75 a pound. When I first started going it was two dollars a pound. 4951

@NeverPayRetail : Yep it is still the same way. Good thing too. I probably ate at least 2 to 3 cups last night while I was picking. I joked with the guy that he should have weighed me before and after. 4951

They were allot of berries high up and in the center of the bushes. And… a lot on the ground.

@NeenaC0629 : That sounds like many berries must have been perfectly ripe today. 4951

@HappyHerself : I'd love to grow blueberries. Some years back I went to a talk at the Kingwood Garden Center, topic was raised bed gardening. They said blueberries could successfully be grown in Kingwood. You could make the soil acid enough for blueberries with raised bed gardening. I haven't yet tried that, but I hope to do that one of these days. 4951

Blueberries! My friend and I went to Moorhead's blueberry Farm up in Conroe late yesterday afternoon and picked tons of blueberries. I picked about 7 pounds in about one hour. They still have lots of berries. So if you are looking for something fun to do today head on over there. They said this might be their last weekend of the season.

@Weathergirl5 : We used to love going to Moorhead's when the kids were little. I can remember when they were only $1.50 a pound. We would spend like $25.00 and would be stuffed by the time we left. We always took a wagon to hold our ice chest with our lunch and drinks, mosquito spray, sunscreen, and a blanket. We would find a nice shady spot to spread out the blanket and have lunch and then pick more berries. It was so fun! 4951

@NeverPayRetail : They didn't charge me for what I ate… probably a pint. They just couldn't find their way to the bucket… The mistake is tasting just one… then it's over. 4951

@NeenaC0629 : Nice! It looks like it's healing well. I'm glad you were getting the stitches out today. Are you still doing physical therapy? 4951
