Back porch is done ( for now) Got some 1/2 priced, 1/2 dead plants from Lowes, some patio mats and cushions and hubs bought a big *** umbrella . So another area done- kinda- got all my garden stuff and decorations still packed. Got the bird feeders out and 2 hummingbird feeders up. We get a couple of species year round plus the gila woodpecker likes to drink the nectar. Need to find the rest of my feeders. The Farmers Market was a huge success- found salsa( still not as chunky as I like but who can pass up prickly pear salsa) . Found the tortilla place but it was soo crowded I passed-maybe next week. Fresh fruits and veggies galore plus local eggs. Home made toffee and other candies. Tamales, street corn, tacos so much food! Tons of dog products for the tons of dogs there. It was a very nice market Enjoy the rest of the weekend!!
@Labslady : Here is the home made salsa recipe you asked for in your other thread:
1 large can peeled tomatoes
3-5 jalapeno or serrano peppers, cored and seeded
2 tsp salt
2 tsp accent seasong (omit if you ar allergic to msg)
Juice from 2 large extra juicy limes
Large bunch of fresh cilantro, stems removed
Cumin to taste
Blend all ingredients in a blender until well mixed. If you prefer it cold, add 2-3 ice cubes to the blender.
Makes about 1 quart of salsa, around our house about two-three days worth.
Enjoy-it can be frozen but tastes better freshly made.
