10/12 EVENING AVERY UPDATE: Today was a pretty good day for our Avery girl. She had her hair washed and braided and was looking all nice and pretty! She was also helped onto a wheelchair and taken for a nice "walk", and even got to go outside for some fresh air! Back in the room.....wait, who's that sitting in the bed?? Well, that's our Avery, of course, doing one of the things she loves: reading! All this plus a steady stream of visitors, and today was probably one of the best days of the last week! Leg surgery is still tentatively scheduled for Monday morning; let's pray there are no other delays! 🙏 As always, Avery and her family thank you for all your prayers, kind words, and support, as they continue on this journey to getting our Avery back to her old self again! The last week has been difficult at times, but with a support group y'all, it's clear they aren't alone! Thank you! 🙏🙏 Avery's fund page is still active. 10/13 EVENING AVERY UPDATE: Despite being stuck at the hospital, Avery had a great day today! She had a steady stream of visitors, including Stacey from Stacey's Dance Studio, which definitely brought that beautiful smile out on Avery's face! Also, a viola made a surprise appearance in her room, which, for those who don't know, is also one of Avery's passions. How does one play the viola with bruises and broken fingers, you might ask? Well, when you've been captive for over a week, you just power through any pain with a smile on your face, enjoying every second! That girl is a beast!! 💪🏻 Thank you to everyone for making our girl's time in the hospital as enjoyable as it can be, and for the seemingly endless prayers and well wishes! 10/14 MORNING AVERY UPDATE: Another pretty good and restful night for our Avery. She had a little bit of a fever spike overnight but that has been taken care of. As you can see by the picture, Avery was all smiles this morning......thanks to a visit from her "hot" doctor! 🤣 Visitation is good to go today, and there's even rumor on the street that The Electric Sundaes will be making an appearance, and maybe even doing a little acoustic jam session?? 🤔 That should be exciting! 10/14 EVENING AVERY UPDATE: First off, a HUGE thank you to everyone who stopped by to visit Avery this weekend! It's heartwarming when you hear the desk nurse comment that this girl needs to have her own floor, with the amount of visitors she's had! Y'all definitely brightened her days, and made what could have been a long, boring weekend, more bearable! 💜 One of Avery's teachers also stopped by to bring her some stuff to work on! Can't let that schoolwork fall too far behind, girlie! 👩🏼‍🎓 Additionally, as you can see in the pictures, the other three Sundae scoops showed up, and The Electric Sundaes threw down some acoustic tunes! That's Dylan strummin' on the acoustic guitar, Eli pluckin' on the bass (through a laptop), Josh behind the bed slappin' on the cajon, and our girl belting out the vocals. So good to see and hear the Sundaes back to playing some music! 🎤🎼🥁🎸🎸 Looking ahead, Avery's temperature has spiked back up and she's running a little fever, but as of right now, her leg surgery is still on schedule for tomorrow morning. Please pray that things will proceed as planned and for a complication free and successful surgery. I know our girl is ready to get home, and to move on from the treatment phase to the recovery/rehab phase! @NeenaC0629 : They take 2.9% plus 30 cents per donation. We realize it's not 100%, and some people don't really care for it, but we figured it was the easiest and most well-known platform to utilize. We'll definitely collect direct donations, or we also have some #teamavery shirts for sale for $20. Thank you!Edit: They used to charge a 5% platform fee, but they did away with that, and now have an option where you can leave a "tip" for GFM. 4951
