That is my biggest fear is getting swiped by thieves and also another reason is these sites collect a good size portion meaning the party only collects a certain percentage and I heard some horror stories about that. 4951

@CBP210 : Yes, we debated what avenue to take with this. We realize that some people frown on the GoFundMe site, but it's well established and known, and the easiest route to take. Besides, they dropped the 5% platform fee, so they only charge 2.9% + .30 per transaction (plus a "tip" if you choose to leave one) now, so that didn't seem too bad. We'll make it work.
