Human Resources Associate Berkeley Eye Center has been a Vision Care leader in Houston since 1959. This growth has created a need for a new position in the Human Resources Department to support the Berkeley Eye Center staff taking care of our patients. We are expecting this new position to focus most of their time on these areas: 1) Compliance: Overseeing the FMLA, EEO-1, OSHA, HIPAA, etc. obligations including training and reporting. 2) Recruiting: Working with the Director of HR to attract quality candidates that not only bring the needed skill set but also an approach to the workplace that is aligned with our established culture. This would involve tasks like writing job postings that honestly represent the open position, reviewing resumes, preliminary interviews and assisting managers with sorting through prospective candidates. 3) Performance Reviews: Oversee Patient Surveys and the Employee review process. 4) Assist with Onboarding, Orientation and Benefits If you have worked in Human Resources you know that any given day can bring an unexpected surprise that needs to be addressed immediately. The person in this position should be committed to assist with all HR needs as they develop. Who is a good fit for the position? We want to find a person who complements our current HR staff with skills and experience that will strengthen our group. Ideally we would like someone who is formally trained in HR plus has at least 5 years of real-life experience of working as part of a Human Resources team.
