The KPHS Panthers have certainly had a great start to this year's football season. Jim Holley, Head Football Coach/Athletic Coordinator for Kingwood Park High School would agree. Below are his comments.
The boys played with great effort on Friday night, they fought hard and stayed focused the entire game. The defense did a great job led by Gavin Whitelaw, Eric Burciaga, Tyler Gray and Kevin Broussard. Offensively, our Quarterback, Zach Vorenkamp, took a big step forward this week with his play.
It was an exciting win for our football team. We have a big game this upcoming week vs. a very good Montgomery team. We will have to continue to improve and cut down on mistakes this week to have a shot at a victory.
