Whataburger Time to cancel this crappy burger joint. They've had enough time to fix their crappy mutated version of what it used to be. Slicing a single patty into two is not what makes a double meat burger. I think it changed hands to some firm in Chicago some time ago and has done the same to the business as they have done to Chicago. Time for them to go!

Yup... Nothing good ever lasts. The one in Atascocita has been sub par for a long time. Last couple of times I went to Whataburger, I went to the newer location by Will Clayton and 59. Better quality.

I left HEB the other day and was starving. Got in line. Ordered the patty melt. $8? I had time to think about it in the drive thru. Said "Hell no" For a few dollars more, go to Skeeters. $10 something, fries and .... made fresh.
I agree, it gets a "Meh" from our family. I have tried it about once a year, for the last 3 years, just to 'see' if anything had gotten better. It hasn't. The cinnamon rolls used to be great, but stopped by last December for one of those, and it was an expensive mistake...yuck. Four delicious cinnamon rolls at Walmart for under $5, a Much better deal. Adios, Waterburger...as my kids call it.

Whata is not what it used to be. Burgers are nothing special.
I do like their pancake and sausage breakfast though.

I used to love Whataburger when I was growing up but for a very long time now they have been too heavy-handed with the salt. The last burger I got from the one on Northpark, I couldn't even eat because it had so much salt. And that's saying something because I'm the Cheeseburger Queen.
I don't add salt to anything so I might be a little overly sensitive to salt content. Even so, when you can't taste the burger over the salt...!

Unfortunately another icon that seem to raise its head. They were delicious decades ago.
yip...it was a private equity firm in Chicago that bought it all out and immediately started changing the burgers, the size, the design of the buildings, everything. It goes on everywhere and it's never the same after that.
There is a new one by my office that is actually really good. The one in the back of Kingwood has been awful each time I've been. I think it's location specific.
