LittleTexas : That is definitely true and I am not sure but if you have a court date to contest it then just show up to that and the ADAs on duty have the same power to just dismiss the ticket. Not sure if you go to court for parking tickets though.I acutally successfully got a ticket dismissed by one of the ADAs in traffic court 30 years ago. I was on Westheimer in my 66 Shelby at a corner store way out in no mans land getting a drink, surrounding me were 100+ 5.0 Mustangs of the street racer crowd and the cops had shown up and corralled them why I was inside.When I came out I walked to the car and an HPD officer stopped me and I explained I was not with the punks and being 33 he believed me, then I started the Shelby and he immediately told me to turn it off. He was citing me for my exhaust. Oh well.The day before I had gone to Ford and bought new mufflers, took it to the local muffler shop and had them replaced, and then had the car inspected. I had the receipts for all. The officer wrote me a ticket for "Defective Exhaust (loud)". I asked to speak to the ADA and presented my ticket and my receipts. Then I said "I am not disputing that the car is loud but it is not defective and it passed inspection yesterday". They weren't happy but they dismissed it on the spot.

Annie : Here's the back story because we do have two. I have one in mine and he has one in his. When his truck was stolen a few years ago out of our driveway, his placard was in it so I gave him mine. He went and got another one for me not thinking they'd have different dates. Lesson learned. He is going to go ahead and apply for the handicap plates so we don't have to worry about it again.

The one time I got a ticket (my mirror had fallen off the windshield) I went to the courthouse and showed the judge my hang tag. He dismissed the ticket and told me what glue he used when his mirror fell off..

Kingwood hospital has duel jurisdiction. COH annexed Kingwood & it sits in Montgomery County. A $500 citation is COH. MC citations are $850. If a vehicle doesn't have a valid placard, it will be cited.

There are so many placard scammers that the enforcement is tight. Expired is expired but if you have the proper paperwork, a judge will likely dismiss it. If I'm driving with an expired license or registration, I'm getting cited for that. Good luck.
