No more residence at sea The Villa Vie's Odyssey has asked passengers to disembark for at least 60 days while they try to financially restructure. Residents have just gotten off in Cambodia. How would you feel to optimistically stay in Cambodia for two months, would you journey onwards or set permanent roots away from the ship?

Cambodia might be interesting for two months, but would be a little rough to live there permanently….it's one of the lowest GDP per capita countries in all of Asia…only about 1/3rd that of Thailand, for example…
My Thai friends say that both Cambodia ans Laos are too old Cambodia and Laos They concur that foreigners have been a diversity from tradition influence for the better. The fact hat they US educated may prejudice them.

I'm thinking if I were fortunate enough financially that I could live on this ship, I would likely fly somewhere else in the vicinity and find a rental. Like others, Thailand is appealing to me. I was lucky enough to visit friends who were in oil/gas in the outskirts of Bangkok. For me the biggest question would be how long to not put down roots. I love to travel but unsure how long I would want to be in a journey. At least with "my" cabin on the ship, it is something that I own and can fully relax in my own space. I'm interested to hear what becomes of the ship and its residents.
