Chrisinkingwood : I am trying to sell my things. I have not had many sales lately.

@ForestFinds :

My wife uses FB Marketplace and says it's the best place to sell things at a fixed price. 4951

DH and I used to love the auctions on ebay... We had that crazy slow dial-up internet. It was fun to place a bid and hit "refresh" right at the end to see if you won or got "sniped" by someone else... Emoticon 4951

eBay is just about dead I think I started selling stuff 20 years ago, sold of most of my professional photo gear, old tools, clothes and knickknacks. I was going to list a Canon DSLR body I no longer need and a couple of lenses in mint condition but there are hardly any auctions now and just lots of shops and online stores selling stuff for a fixed price. The whole concept of the auction used to be to research the trending sale prices, list your item fairly low to generate bids and watch the bids grow. Sometimes I sold cameras and lenses for more than they cost at other sites. Now it seems very little sells, I watch items and an they just get relisted at the same price. So I sent my camera stuff to an online store in New York that gives a fair price for used gear; their mainly a used gear seller. And I am getting more than if I sold it on eBay after the fees are taken. And the nice thing is they had some other gear I wanted I'm doing a partial trade and still getting paid back. Wondering how long eBay will still be around.

@Chrisinkingwood : My friend sells on eBay and still does really well. She always does auctions. 4951

I've noticed the shipping costs are crazy high. They are making money off the shipping. I pay $12 and it says $4 on the package. 4951

I think alot of people stopped selling on ebay because of all the scammers. Some of the things they try to pull of are really disappointing and their isn't enough protection for those who get scammed.. 4951
