Jeffrey Whitsett did my lasix in 1997 and have sent others to him for same procedure. I would imagine he does cataracts too. 4951

@Annie : I will 2nd Dr. Whitsett. He did my cataract surgery and everything went great. I told him that I didn't realize how good looking he was until after he fixed my eyes! LOL 4951

I suggest Bren McQueen at Berkeley. He did cataract surgery on both my eyes. Went in with worse then 20/270 vision. Wore glasses from age 8 to 67. Now I'm 20/20 in both eyes. I had no idea what it's like to not wear glasses. 4951

Dude, I very highly second @Quixote 's recommendation for Dr. McQueen at Berkeley Eye in Kingwood.....
....Hands down, he is who I suggest and recommend for anyone needing not only Surgery, but an outstanding, experienced Ophthalmologist - he's top-notch, top-rated, and one of the most well respected Ophthalmologists in the field.... (If there's a wait to get in for an appointment with him, he's well worth it!) 4951

Need recommendations for Dr for cataract surgery.

@Wanttoretire : We like Dr. McQueen at Berkeley here in Kingwood. He did my MILs, sisters, and 2 friends cataracts. They are all very pleased and I would use him if I needed to. 4951

@Wanttoretire : Dr. Urso (Houston Eye Associates, which has an outpost on the feeder by Denny's and the plant place) did mine. I like him for listening and explaining things, following and passing along latest research and innovations, etc. He doesn't talk down at all. Just had another check-up this morning.

Dr Mann (the sr, who was my whole family's eye doc, and half of Kingwood's, back thru the 80s) did my mom's first eye; she got annoyed with the office's upselling though along with the parking access issues and goes to Dr Urso now too. (I beat her to needing both eyes done.)

It's amazing, almost miraculous surgery. Hopefully you're either of Medicare age or have a low deductible plan; it's quite pricey for those of us who are ahead of typical schedule. 4951
