House keeping, how much are y'all paying and how often? I've finally come to the conclusion that I need help keeping up with my home. I'm searching for a housekeeper and want to know if I should keep looking. I called a company and they estimated 490.00 for my 4bd 2.5 house and 160 bi weekly 🫠🫠🫠am I getting scammed? ðŸ˜

My daughter who has 3 boys under 5 and a two story house pays 170.00 every other week .

The $160 bi-weekly is absolutely reasonable for your size house. My house is only 2,275 sq ft. It's just me that lives here so a fairly easy clean and I pay $165 bi-weekly.
Where did you get a price of $490? That's ridiculous even for an initial clean.
Call a few more companies and see what kind of prices you get.

$500 is still crazy even if it's an initial clean with fridge and oven. Housekeepers do charge extra to clean out the fridge and oven but ... did you tell them you didn't want a New oven, just a clean one. lol
Keep looking. There is a list of housekeeping companies under the Business section here on KDC. You may have to sit down and start dialing and set up a few appts for them to come talk to you and see your house. I wish I could recommend the folks that do my house, but I can't. Besides, they are on leave because one of the cleaners, the daughter, was killed in a car accident 4 weeks ago. I've had them for 10 years but I may be calling that list too because I don't know when, or if, they are coming back.
