They do exist.... I have kayaked the waters around Kingwood since 2009 and finally... an alligator. Location... a cove at East End Park across from Bosley Beach.

Theres a guy on FB that has several and they are totally tame, or so he says, but there is one on his lap lol
Lantern : Honestly, we've lived here 34 years and I've never been to East End park for that very reason, especially when we were walking dogs! No thank you.
Lantern : You wanted to see one while in your kayak? Those guys could flip you over and take you down quickly.

Lantern : Yikes! That's a big guy! I would not want to get that up close and personal with him. Great pictures though!
Kittle : Never been a issue. I am in a 14ft yellow kayak, they scatter if I get to close. Even at the Armand Bayou Peserve, where there are many, no issues.
cardinalsong : You are missing out... East End is a gem of Kingwood .
