buffaloglenn : there was a little butcher shop / deli owned by an English man where I grew up. He had a shelf there in his deli with things like HP sauce and Heinz baked beans. There was one canned item called spotted dick... My little 10 year old brain thought that was the funniest thing ever, and I'd literally take other kids in the shop to prove to them that you could buy dick in a can at this man's shop.
