Well, the clash between cool air and warm moist air can certainly lead to nasty storms, however, what I'm seeing says we'll likely be too dry for much of that when the front passes on Friday. Hopefully that's the way it'll turn out.

It's possible. It was 62 just a couple of days ago and now starting out mid 70+. Mid October should be 50s.
