This position is to provide legal support to an Estate Planning/Probate Attorney. Responsibilities include organization and maintenance of case files- both paper and electronic, communication with clients to set appointments, gather information and prepare letters and other documents on clients' behalf; maintain appointment calendar for attorney and maintain court deadlines, electronic filing of pleadings and monitor status of filings with appropriate court, assist attorney with document preparation and organization - including assisting attorney with preparation for court hearings, assist in answering phones and sending emails to clients and to the courts. Must have the flexibility to work overtime when required and to carry out other duties as assigned.

Qualifications include 5-10 years+ legal experience. Wills and Trusts Estate Planning and Probate experience preferred. Must have a solid proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook; excellent organizational skills with a high degree of attention to detail, ability to prioritize cases and manage caseload and other tasks, excellent oral and written communication skills including good grammar, punctuation and spelling, ability to communicate effectively with clients, court personnel and co-workers, ability to multi-task, ability to use multi-line phone system and must have good telephone skills and clear speaking voice, ability to work under deadlines and to work with confidential client information. Must have dependable transportation and must be able to lift up to 20 lbs. Proficiency in Abacus is a plus.
