Responsibilities:
*Assisting Chef in all aspects of kitchen.
*Crafting and creating new and exciting product for our fun new boutique cookie shop.
*Good organizational skills/ ability to meet strict guidelines.
*Exceptional decorating skills.
*Chocolate and Icing / Petits / Special needs baking.
*Time management, quality control, attention to detail.
*Willing to learn new methods and tech from a very accomplished Chef.
*Decorate pastries using different icings, toppings etc. to ensure the presentation will be beautiful and exciting.
*Maintain a lean and orderly cooking station and adhere to health and safety standards.
Skills:
*Proven experience as Assistant Pastry Chef, baker or relevant role.
*Great attention to detail and creativity.
*In depth knowledge of sanitation principles, food preparation and baking techniques and nutrition.
*Working knowledge of baking with ingredient limitations (pastries that are gluten free, sugarless etc.)
*Certificate in culinary arts or 2 yrs pastry-making, baking or relevant field.
