When the time comes to say goodbye to your beloved furry (or scaly, or feathered) family member, I will be there to help every step of the way. From a consult to determine if the time is right, to the euthanasia appointment, I'm available for an honest discussion about quality of life, procedure, and next steps. This is often the hardest decision for us, but the best decision for them to end their suffering. Euthanasia literally means "good death," and I do my best to provide this for all pets that need me.

I work with well established cremation companies in the Houston area. I've toured the facilities and they show exceptional care for your pets. Cremation with ashes returned, and communal cremation in which no ashes are returned, are both available for your family. Prices will be provided upon request. Should you choose to handle aftercare yourself just let me know. And of course, please reach out with any questions.

Hospice care is a growing branch of veterinary medicine. I have always had a soft spot for my senior patients and the idea of giving their families more time with them makes me extremely happy. I'm going to be training for the next year and hope to add this service after that training is complete.

| My name is Kristey Reed and I am a 2008 graduate from the Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine. Out of school, I worked at a small animal clinic in Harker Heights, TX for 7 years. I then moved back to Houston to be closer to family and have done relief work, been a medical director for 3 different animal clinics, and worked with 3 different corporate practices, one of them mobile, during the past 7 years. In mobile work, I found a passion for my profession that I had feared I had lost. Helping owners know when to make the difficult decision of euthanasia and providing this in the comfort of their home is especially an honor that I don't take for
granted. It is for this reason that I have started my own in-home euthanasia service. |
Something I am slowly becoming better about fighting for as I get older is a good balance in life. So, in my time away from work I like to run (I'm usually training for a half marathon to try to stay motivated), read, spend time with my 3 dogs and 4 cats, or hang with my awesome 4 year old.
