Emily Pearson of Humble recently showed her prize rabbit at the Youth Expo of Harris County. The rabbit show was held at the Humble Civic Center and Emily was anxious to hear if she had won. When hearing the news they had not won, she was thankful she had entered items in the food division, too.

Her magic recipe was for a Pecan Pie Cake which took Grand Champion Food. There were close to 100 entries and Emily not only won in the food division, but placed 3rd with her green onions, too.

Her dad, Kevin Pearson, President of Pearson Carpet Care said, “Emily worked hard on this project and even made a test cake two weeks before to ensure it would be good.” He continued by saying, “our whole family loved the cake, especially the two great grandmothers. This experience really inspired Emily to want to cook more and we are all so proud of her.”
