for my new golden. The breeder suggested getting a 42 inch with divider. My son gave me a medium one to have something to start with. Petco has one for $68...have been checking the classifieds but haven't seen one that size. Is that a good price for a 42 inch??

Go to Craigs list in Houston....Type in Dog Crate in the search box, and you will get TONS of responses!  That is where I got my X-Large metal crate - brand new for $65.00!!

I ordered a larger Kennel-Aire wire crate from a website called Wayfair, their prices are good. Also go to Petco.com, I ended up getting a large crate for $55. They have online specials that you can't get in their store. Shipping is free for anything over $49.

Also check Tractor Supply in Porter. Also, Tuesday Morning of all places had a large crate a couple of weeks ago.
