If you are having your baby at Kingwood Med, there is someone who comes in and offers to take pics of your newborn. No idea how much it costs though.

I noticed if i want just digital files its like $600-$700 on some photography websites. That seems really crazy high to me. Maybe i am just uneducated in this area?

I really don't want to spend more than $300.

i do not charge that,,i think that is just ridiculous..seriously look up bronzer photography on facebook..thats my page..im trying to get into newborn photography. Im actually uploading the pictures of my sisters baby right now over there

I do but not a good eye for photography. Still a beginner. Plus i don't have any newborn props.

I don't understand how to use light and flash very well either.

That is insane @N+T for a newborns photo.

They will take them at the hospital for you.

Then once you get home and you want some photos, I would look up mpjp, just so you wouldn't have to take the infant out to a real public place.

I had my son at Kingwood and they gave us a throw away camera and they took.pictures of him in the nursery and then a lady came by about taking pictures I do know it was very expensive

I also have a neighbor and friend who is a new photographer. She said she will give me a deal but she hasn't gotten specific on the details. Her price book shows $650 for a disc.

I have an excoworker who does photography too, but not sure about her price on digital images.

I really want someone who has all the props for some neat photos. A lot of new photographers don't have that, or they are limited. But the established photographers are pricey. So i have to see what kind of photos can be done with out many props.

I also want to incorporate my two dogs in one or two of the photos with baby.

The photographers that come to your hospital room range from $80 to $150 dollars but typically for around $100 you can get prints on a CD. It's not horrible for the convenience.

This depends on who you go to and what the photographer is expecting...

I've been shooting for 8+ years now and charge bare minimum since I'm just working on a portfolio...

However, you have some photographers that wanna charge you an arm, leg and your 1st born child...

do some research. a photo is only as good as the person behind the camera. and it's only worth as much as you're willing to pay...

They aren't going to take many. You get maybe 2 different "poses" if you will. These are just to show, hey this is you at day one of your life. These are not super expensive and there isn't going to be any props. Just a photo with the t shirt of the name of the hospital showing. At least that is what I got with both of mine.

Then usually at 3 months you get photos done. Well that is what I did. 3, 6, 9 and 12. For the first year. Since I new this was something I wanted to do, I didn't spend a fortune on infant photos. But once they are older you will want to spend a bit more money. At least that is what we did.
