I wouldn't go with pink. It is cute, but it isn't going to match everything you wear. And if you have to dress up this may not look so nice.
I would ask them where they want to cap the cost. Just to be sure you don't overspend what they have in mind. VERY nice of your family to that for you btw

I am looking at this watch, but how much would you pay? I am getting a gift from a loved one and they said I could get me a new watch for my new job. I found this one, I like it, but how much should I pay?
@ghostfire1999:
I agree with @fallon not pink maybe white or black.. Pretty watch

Not to be a smart-a$$, but who wears a watch now-a-days?

Oh I do. I feel odd without it on. And I can't always take my phone out of my purse to check the time.
And for some reason I can look at my watch way before I remember I can glance in the upper right hand corner of the computer

@Fallon: I switched from a wrist watch to a pocket watch many years back. I don't carry it anymore because it's just as easy to pull out my phone as a pocket watch.
It's funny how we get used to some things and continue to do them even when it's not necessary. I grew up in a rural area and always carried a pocket knife. I still carry a small one now. I also feel naked if I don't keep a couple of quarters in my pocket (in case I need to use a pay phone!).

I was watching some old movie on TV last night, and I was thinking holy cow, we actually used public phones! OMG how gross, all those germs. lol
It is fun to watch some old 80's movies and think back to how cool we thought we were then...

Yep @ghostfire1999, we had a hard time trying to find my dh a blackberry without a camera on it. He can't take a camera in most places he has to go for work, for security reasons too. It was harder than we thought to find one

@Fallon I have to wear a watch everyday, too. I am not allowed to have my phone out at work, so a watch is much needed! @ghostfire1999 I have not heard of a Sthurling brand watch. Where do you purchase that brand? Have you looked at the new Michal Kors two toned watches lately? They are very neat!

@Retired_Engineer: the area I will be working is a no phone zone. Due to the possibility that we could copy personal and private information. So I want a watch so I know when its LUNCH!!! lol jk
@ghostfire1999: Good reason! When it was time to replace our old phones, my wife and I had a hard time finding a phone that was just a phone and could text. We didn't need a camera, but couldn't find a phone without one!
I worked at a refinery and one day, our Plant Manager got a bug up his butt since we had a policy of no camera's allowed inside the refinery. His rant didn't last long when someone pointed out that every person in senior management had a camera in their phone, including him.

@Fallon: I know some folks that would stop to use a payphone at certain liquor/c-stores in some not so nice neighborhoods in New Orleans and that was their last call on this earth, unfortunately!

Oh yeah. I remember trying to met up with everyone on ST. Charles, and trying to decide where to stop to use the phone. But during Mardi Gras, we would usually just be like oh well we missed them. lol
Every year we would have friends show up and get plastered from MG, and wander around in the French Quarter, I am surprised we ever saw half of them again. That is not the place to be out of your head, esp during MG. Just isn't safe.
