Yes, If you put your signs up in advance they will be taken down.... I actually like that rule.. If I see a sign that looks old I assume someone didnt take it down from a prev garage sale.
However when the neighborhoods have the neighborhood wide garage sign they will post signs at the entrances a weeek in advance so watch for those..

@brearae, it is a huge sale they do every year. People get up and are waiting in line to get in.
We use to have a big one like this back in NC every Fall. It was at the state fair grounds, and it was a true arts and crafts, as well as a yard sale, antique sale they put on every Sat in the Fall. It was a blast and we got the best deals there.
@silly123, in VA I use to hit the yard sales every Friday and Sat. They Tuesday paper would advertise the upcoming garage sales. I'd map out my route, and get up and head out on Friday am. I got my son the big Tonka trucks, metal ones, for $2 each. They looked brand new.
I got a solid maple dresser for $35.00. I got stuff all the time. The Julia Child cookbook that retails for $50.00 I paid a quarter for. It was brand new.
I love yard sales. It seems here that some folks are bit unrealistic about what they can get for their stuff. Just because you put the word vintage in the description doesn't make that old used and not well cared for object worth more money. And it is a yard sale, you want top dollar don't put it out at a yard sale.

we always check the listings on KDC to see where & when the sales are ...however Sunday there was an Estate Sale that was from 10 to 4 Sunday only off of West Lake Houston , it was just one sign ...of course we missed it cause we did not see the sign till 6 pm .....Advertise ahead of time people , !

I went to the estate sale,, actually MUCH better priced than most.. I bought two large pieces of antique furniture for 300.00 I waited till 1:00 when they were 30% off...
Massive Oak antique Chest of drawers and a Empire style fip top entry table... I will double my money EASY !!!
