@Zokomo:
When I was originally looking they were pretty expensive. I do not know why they want so much for her, even when I was younger it was not that much and I have always had full coverage. Who gave you that quote?

I called about adding my daughter's 1991 (21 year old car), who is also 21 years old...lol. My insurance wants to add $1200 a year ($100 a month) for LIABILITY on a 21 year old car, for my 21 year old daughter. This is crazy!!!!!!I am calling around to other insurance companies tomorrow...
@Zokomo: Try Kemper insurance I have full coverage on my 2007 car and I am 21 also, It is just me on there and I pay 89 a month.
@hgmag:

Man yall should try Kemper the are cheap and offer a lot of discounts. Mine is cheap because I have the good student discount, no tickets ever, and I have a dash cam which was only 70 bucks, but worth it. Some idiot tried to back into my car at a stop light, turns out it is a common scam, I was able to back out and drive into the next lane, but after that I decided I need one of those cameras.

Zokomo - did you tell the insurance company that the car is mainly in Austin? My 21 year old son is at UT and has a car there. His insurance is roughly 59.00 a month!

@Zokomo:
Yeah I am in Harris county. When I was in college station it was even cheaper and the way people drove out there was just scary, Austin may be cheaper who knows, lets hope it is.

@Zokomo:
My insurance for a 1991 Honda Civic started at $165 a month... only after having it for a year did the cost go down. I am 26 now... once a child gets past the 25 year range insurance drops significantly... it's because she's still a 'dependent" until 25, married or with child... sucks but true...
