i think you'll have a hard time finding anyone for $100 a week. that's less than $3 an hour.

that's 9 1/2 hours per day if you are home by 7:30 each night , for 4 nights...that's 38 hours in 4 days at $100. that's $2.70 an hour ...for how many kids & what else would be involved ?

one child who is 7 years old... sorry im not a millionaire... im a single mom who works west coast hours... their 8:30-5 is our 10:30-7

figured people might be able to help me out a little... or maybe someone just needed a little extra cash... nothing else involved.. shes 7... she feeds herself... goes to the bathroom by herself... just needs supervision

Iam sure a 7 year old child does not fix her own meals, there fore cooking dinner would be part of the "chores " for $2.70 an hour....my granddaughter pays her sitter $7. an hour to watch her 5 year old daughter from 9am to 4:30 pm 3 days a week as she only works part time...

have you asked your parents or siblings to heelp you out ? sometimes relatives will help you out & take less in pay ....just wondering....hope you find someone soon .

Have you checked into the Y, local churches, or any place like those that do summer programs with activities/field trips, etc.? I don't know how much those places cost, but might not be too much over your budget and she'd get to do some fun stuff over the summer. Or are the hours a problem?

Good luck finding someone....maybe a high school kid or college kid that is having problems finding a job elsewhere can help......

glad to hear your daughter can afford 7 an hour working only part time, however. I am a single mom doing everything alone, there fore i was hopin to find a college student or high school student who would be willing to make a little extra money..

or even a stay at home mom who keeps a few children...

and i dont think making dinner for a child is by any means considered a chore.

At least you are working. My mom was single mother of two. We used to ride the city bus to her job after school and wait in the lunchroom until she got off work. When we got a little older, we rode the bus all the way home and locked ourselves in the house until she got home. I still don't know how she did it - we went to a private Catholic school.

Have you asked your co-workers? Lots of working parents have babysitting issues during the summer. Maybe they have someone who can take on an extra child. Good luck.
