It wouldn't hurt to invest in a surveillance system if you have the extra cash.
  Do you own the home?   If you rent, you will probably want to check with the owners first.

Not sure if they require a contract or not.  A couple of friends of mine just started using them and have the system via cellular.  Seems to have a whole lot more to offer for the money than ADT.  Plus you do not have to have a lnad line it your house.  I started reading their website.  I hope ot have them out on my next day off.
