I see shankz is closing and Aldis is moving in. Y'all are going to love that store!! It's lots of their own brand of food at great prices. And they sell seasonal items as well thru out the year. I have yet to have one bad thing from there really. The only thing that stinks is you either bring your own bags or u can purchase bags from them for 10c. Oh and make sure you carry a quarter on you for your shopping cart. Which u get back when u take it back

so Aldi is moving to TX now? warehouse type set up.You can also take their empty boxes to carry items in. They have a few of those in Indiana. I didn't shop there but my son will be happy to hear a store is coming here, he likes them. So they are moving into the shopping center in Atascocita?

There is a thread on Atascocita.com about this store......sounds like a lot of unhappy people.
Personally I cannot stand that store- I went into one in Northern Virginia when I lived there, and couldn't run out of there fast enough!

@bearae:
That's the word on the street. It sucks shopping tere when they are super busy. But around the holidays when I bake cookies it's the best bank for our buck there on my supplies.

Aldi's is all over Ohio & Kentucky . Usually they only have one cashier thru the week , so plan on a long long line . They do not put anything on shelves just stack the boxes on top of each other & side by side & that's it . Most of the meat is not anything that I would put on my table . Graded 1 thru 4 with 4 being the best all Aldi's carries is 1 & 2's . I will say can goods are okay & some of the boxed items are okay . But buy your meat some place else . JMO.....

@WJo:
Ya we never bought their meat. But u can't beat their prices on eggs,milk and the such. A friend of mine in Dallas said the milk at Aldis is $1 for their grand opening.

Not gonna pay for a shopping cart. Just not going to do it. I would never go there because of that.
Nothing ticks me off worse than the arrogance of a company to think I need to shop with them bad enough, that I would pay for a cart. I know it is only a quarter, it isn't the cost, it is the very idea. I mean how stupid for a company to charge you to use a cart, so that you could buy more. Thus making the company more money.
Stupid business practice.
Not gonna use a self check out either, unless the company is giving me a discount for working for them. I sure don't get anything out of it. Every time at Kroger, Lowe's or Walmart, I still have to wait for the helper to come over.

@Fallon:
U get it back silly. They do it so they don't have I pay someone to go get them. I like the idea! Keeps the idiots who dont return their cart and just leaving them in the parking lot from messing up someone's car!
