Driving in bear branch and there is a new home (lost lake drive?) that looks like a mosque. This house looks nothing like the homes in bear branch or any village for that matter. Just wondering how this eyesore got past the HOA while someone's empty garbage cans does not.
How do you know it got by them????? I would guess they have gotten letter and maybe even have had a lein placed against their home...... I would call KSA and report it.
My guess is the original house was destroyed (fire or Ike) and this is the replacement. I would think the HOA would look at renderings prior to approval to make sure it is consistent with the neighborhood's architecture.
@TexINS - They do, but that would mean you submitted the approval, some do not and have to start over or face consequences ie lawyer and eventually a lien.
I know the house you are talking about it! It's hideous!! The roof was torn off by Ike, then the owner died and home was abandoned and eventually torn down and rebuilt.
OK, I just googled the street. Is this the house? If so, it's more modern than the neighbors' but I wouldn't call it hideous. I do think it will look much better with some landscaping.
It's the new architecture they are building everywhere. Drive back to Royal Shores and that style is all you see. What makes it stand out is it's so different from what they built back when they developed that part of Kw.
Yeah that is the big issue. Different is fine, but when you go to put it up for sell, different can be a big issue.
While I personally like the house, I don't necessarily like it on that street. It looks weird and out of place.
Does seem odd that the HOA approved those plans. But I don't see any builder going ahead and building without the HOA approval. I know any reputable construction company will get the approval before they start, esp in Kingwood.
