A year or so (maybe 2?) ago, they were accepting them at Children's/MDA (childrens' ward) as donations through some organization. Not really sure why...but it was kind of a big deal. Recycling?
Apparently they raised a lot of money from them...didn't know they did it anymore. Have some (very) distant relatives (one who works @ MDA as a contractor) who collected them forever...He gave them to me last fall (it was a HUGE gallon ziplock full of them lol), but I could never find out what to do with them, so I gave them back this spring (just sitting in my garage). I'm sure he still has them...will have to research what to do with them.
I think if you turn them in to the Ronald McDonald house they some how go towards the cost of a chemo treatment. McDonalds use to collect them.
@goldie:
Goldie you so smart! I just talk to B's dad he said the same thing. Guess I'll have to start drinking more Pepper! It's for the kids of course.
@Peanutbutter: I'm glad you mentioned them because I use to collect them then I guess I forgot about it. I still have a bag of them but there's no reason not to collect them again. I remember one time just handing a bag of them to the girl in the McDonalds drive-thru window.
