Where is all this crime coming from?? I moved here thinking I would be safe and everytime I turn on the news something is going on in Kingwood. This is scary since I am single and live alone, I thought this would be the best city/community to live in instead of Houston!!!

@bubbleyes72: There is crime everywhere now. But in places like Kingwood, it's not as frequent as in more urban areas. Sometimes the security of Kingwood makes us a little complacent and a little more surprised when something like this happens.

This is Kingwood. People who live here, for the most part, try to paint the picture that it's the best place in the Houston area without crime. Some agree, some don't. I guess nobody told you that this wasn't much of a singles city, did they? Regardless, welcome to Kingwood - keep all your doors locked.

There will continue to be crime everywhere while we are under these economic times. It's the American way, apparently!

Crime at the front of Kingwood seems to have gone up since they have suck quick and easy access now to 59.

Like @jax said, with the economy like it is we are going to see an increase in crime in general. And the nicer places are always going to be targeted.

I know when we lived in the Woodlands the crime there is higher than you think. That was one reason we moved here.

Gonna have crime if you have people.
