when i was little, there was a white orb that went back and forth across my closet door. i laid in fear for hours until i somehow fell asleep.

The next night, it was back!!! i screamed for my Mom and she discovered that it was the moonlight reflecting off the shiny metal of the oscillating fan.

Someone on here always tells me "no pictures it did not happen" lol. It sounds like she was dreaming. I have woke up to the mass before, but it was usually when I woke up in a REM state and my mind was still going on my dream. Then after a second it was gone.

Its called sleep paralysis...your mind wakes up before your body and usually you cant move, given the state your in it can cause hallucinations for a few seconds....sometime it will feel like choking or someone sitting on you. You think you are awake and you kinda are. When people sleep walk its because they don't have enough of the chemical(not sure of the name) to keep you still during dreams. Sleep paralysis is just the opposite where you wake up before the chemical wears off. I have suffered from it for years, it wasn't until late 90's that they realized its a true medical condition and once people figure that out there are tricks to making the episodes happen less and less.

Or you can just waste your money and call ghost hunters....LOL

A few weeks after my mom died, my dad said that she paid him a visit. He said he was taking a nap in his favorite recliner and he woke up and saw my mom standing over him. He said she backed away and then disappeared. Now some may say this was a ghost, but I believe he just terribly missed his wife of almost 60 years and dreamed it.

@mm4731: I've had some nasty gas before, but I've never had any that was black. Although there was one time I'm sure I saw an orange flash when I lit a match.

My sister is terrified. A few nights ago she awake to a black moving mass floating along her bedroom ceiling. It descended over her and started choking her. She started to attempt to scream out the name of my dead grandfather. That's when a light appeared behind the dark mass. It sucked up the black mass and disappeared. All these years she questioned the spiritual stuff. Now she realizes that its real.

I totally believe it happened to her. Tell her to get holy water and a rosary. it will help ward off negative energy.
