Is there any where like nice parks near by that allows weddings? I wanted to get married at Mercer but the do not allow weddings in the pretty areas =/. I Really want an outdoor wedding preferably somewhere that allows dogs as well (I want my dog as the ring bearer) I have been procrastinating like crazy with planning my wedding and I really need to get on the ball with it, so I figured I should start planning; everyone else I know had planned and are planning at least a year in advance. How hard it is?  Any ideals and tips for planning weddings is helpful, I have until December 21, that is the date we are setting to marry (odd date I know but I though it would be a fun date.) The cold is also adding to the challenge for the out door wedding.

outdoor in late december? i don't know how that would work to be honest. but you REALLY need to get some decision making done if you're getting married then. i took 1 1/2 years to plan mine. and believe me....it was a lot of work!

for your time frame, you're going to want to find an all inclusive place. they'll take care of the food, drinks, decor, dj, cermony, cake...you get the idea.

i got married here...  http://www.burkeshireplantation.com/

it was beautiful, and Gayle took care of everything. she's the best! she'll make it very easy for you.

Outdoor weddings are great.  We got married in Sedona, Arizona by a Native American Shaman.  It was the most amazing experience in my life (my husbands first wedding, my second).  My first wedding was in a church in San Francisco.  Too traditional for my tastes...although Dusty Baker was there, which was pretty cool.

For that time of year you may want to find something that has an indoor option in case weather prevents the outside event. Does it have to be in Kingwood / Humble area?

@CupcakeMama:

I would prefer it to be, so it would be easier for people to attend.

@taramary:

I have odd plans, I want that date because that is when people were saying the world would end junk and I want to do a zombie themed wedding think it would be fun. I also just really like being outside. (I know Im weird)
