My neighbor rung my doorbell today in a panic. She said there was a hurt dog in the road. On the next intersection there was a puppy wrapped in a towel laying in the street. She was barely breathing. We rushed her to Lone star vet,my vet. We kept telling her to hold on. She was whining in pain. His assistant was there, vet was eating,as it was lunchtime..she unwrapped the towel and the pup was covered in bloody stool. The pup was severely emanciated. She ran a parvo test,it came back negative. The pup then started to have strange movements in her mouth and the asst.said it looked like distemper. She was so sweet with the pup. I leaned over and told th epuppy We were so sorry that someone would leave her alone in the street to suffer and that we cared. She looked up at us and took her last breath. The vet tech had her hands on her went she left this world. She didn't go alone. I am disgusted with humanity. What kind of a heartless human would leave such a sick puppy to die in this heat,in the street?? I hope karma finds them...soon. My neighbor's sweet 14 year old girl was with me in the room. I am sorry she had to see such an inhumane act of cruelty today. My faith in people...took a huge hit today. RIP sweet pup. You were gorgeous and loved in your last hour. Your pain is gone. I will never forget you sweet baby.
