Where is a good place to get chicken tamales? I was thinking about trying to make them until all the recipes I found take at least three hours. Are any of the frozen ones any good, If so what brands are good?

Some of the pre-packaged refrigerated ones at HEB are decent.
Not like home made type, but not bad.

I agree w the refrigerated ones at HEB. Look for the chicken tortilla soup in the large glass jar (sorry, brand escapes me but it is a small company that has black lids) to use as a sauce.

The samplers at HEB prepared them this way and had me hooked for an easy dinner.

@DCowboys:
  They require a minimum order of 6 dozen tamales for $89.95
  You'd better be hungry!

@Retired_Engineer:
that's easy... You know they are fake when Tamales being sold by gringos and/or dey com in a air tight package.

... if you can't take 30 paces and buy a goat... you know dey not from Mexicans.
... if you can't buy spicy corn on a stick along with your tamales... you know dey not form Mexicans.
.... if you can't renegotiate the price by flashing cash... you know dey not form Mexicans.

There is also a place on 1960 across from Coach's that sells tamales.  I believe the name of the place is Tamales.      LOL
  It's next to a little shop-n-rob that doesn't sell gasoline.
