UPDATE.........Please Please Please, need help finding Roxie a home. She has been boarding @ Kingwood Kennels since last year. She needs to find a home or I will have no choice and will have to put her to sleep.
She does NOT like other dogs and because of her size, she must be in a home where she is an ONLY dog. Roxy is a mastiff/hound/sharpei mix. She weighs 74 lbs. She absolutely loves people, all people! She is so affectionate and just wants to be your lap dog. She puts her one paw on my arm when I am driving her to the vet.
I completely trust her around people, just not other dogs. So if you know of anyone looking for an ONLY dog, please consider Roxie. I will need to make a decision I a couple of weeks. She can not stay at the kennels much longer.

For some reason I was wondering about her the other day. I thought she had been adopted. So sad for her. Can you post pics again? How is she with little kids? My friend is looking for a new dog, but she has 3 little kids.

I am not sure how she would be around kids, but she is so loving with everyone person she comes in contact with. When I take her to the vet, she is all over Dr. Knapp and the vet techs. I just feel really bad for her. I wish I could find someone who has some acreage or a nice big back yard. She is quite large so she needs a home that is accustomed to bigger dogs.
You can definitely see the mastiff in her, but she has a hound type body. I feel really bad, but she just can't stay at the kennel much longer. They are having to block off areas where she is because of her aggression towards other dogs. Some dogs just will not tolerate other dogs, and unfortunately she happens to be one of them.

Yes Jamie, please go by Kingwood Kennels and take some pics of Roxie, her situation is dire.
I am going to make flyers and put them @ local vets and hopefully she will tug on someone's heart strings. Roxie is so sweet and really deserves a good home.

last year I had the pleasure of meeting Roxie & would take her treats over & play with her while I was there . Roxie is a doll , lots of energy & loves to play . Iam sure Roxie does not know her own strength , she is a very strong dog but also a very loving dog. If I didn't have 3 poodles I would take her in a heart beat . Because of her size Iam sure she would knock down small children while only playing with them . But I do not believe Roxie would ever hurt anyone . She is just a big lovable dog....I thought she had already been adopted , someone is missing a very special dog that would love them forever for a forever home.

Smiling Dog Farms has agreed to take Roxie but I have to raise $1263.00 before they will take her. This will pay for her enclosure (10 x 16) & condo. I will be putting a donation jar at Kingwood Kennels next week. If you would like to help Roxie get to Sanctuary, please donate what you can. You can leave cash or check, if check please make payable to Smiling Dog Farms.
Roxie will remain at Smiling Dog Farms for her entire life unless a suitable home can be found. Placing a large dog with dog aggression is very difficult. I know the guys personally who own & operate Smiling Dog Farms, so I am so happy they have agreed to take her. I need to raise as much as I can so I can take her asap.
I have agreed to sponsor her monthly which will cover food, heartworm & flea preventative and will help with any vet care she may need.
She's been at Kingwood Kennels for so long, and I was so upset I was considering euthanasia, but I can't keep her and every rescue is full, so I contact Smiling Dog Farms as a last resort. I am thrilled she will have a place to live. I hope to have enough money raise in the next 30 to 60 days, I would appreciate any help and Roxie will be forever grateful................
